Licensed Mental Health Therapist

Job Description
The Family Therapy Center, a leader in outpatient and school-based mental health in WI, is searching for a self-motivated, energetic,
and dynamic licensed therapists to work in our school-based mental health and outpatient therapy areas. The mental health
therapist will be responsible for providing mental health services in-person or via telehealth at a State of WI. certified
outpatient clinic. This person is self-motivated, energetic, and dynamic, working to meet the mental and behavioral
health needs of clients by providing diagnostic assessments and individual therapeutic services and working with
families’ and clinical team to determine the best treatment plan to meet the client’s needs.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves clients from a systemic viewpoint
  • Serves as a liaison between clinic and Reedsville school district
  • Position requires flexibility and includes some evening hours
  • Provide individual, group and family psychotherapy, individualized treatment planning, emotional and
    behavioral support, and crisis intervention
  • Work closely with the client’s physician, school personnel, other clinical staff and community agencies
  • Develop transition and discharge planning
  • Complete all required clinical documentation
  • Utilize evidence and theory based best practices in planning counseling sessions, activities, and interventions
  • Be comfortable working with payers to challenge difficult cases and denied authorizations for clients
  • Regularly attend general staff meetings to staff cases and be provided clinical supervision and collaboration

 

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • LMFT, LPC or LCSW license in the State of WI (Required)
  • Sound Analytical Abilities
  • Knowledge of best practices and evidence-based theory
  • Professional and Courteous disposition
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Team player
  • Flexibility in scheduling and some evening hours required
  • Understanding of State of WI statutes pertaining to Mental Health
